Not much of a problem, really.  There are only two types of
memory card that are likely to be encountered:  the RAMworks
type and the Apple "Slinky" type (like RAMfactor).  (The standard
64KB/80-column card is a bank-switched or RAMworks type.)

You would not go wrong to simply support the bank-switched
RAMworks-style cards.  The only required check is to determine
how much memory they actually have, and to disconnect the
RAM disk driver before using the card.
