: this cf to ide adapter...you mean the cf flashcard...
: or is this a diff product...? (i have a cf flash card
: w/256mb scandisk)

Takes a CF card in and plugs then into an IDE
controller. I have one on my Vulcan Gold card
with an 8MB CF card in place. I know 8MB????
very small, I agree, but it's the only one I
had that wasn't touched by the CFFA controller
which ruins the MBR (Master Boot Record), which
seems to ruin them for anything but the CFFA.
I'm getting a CF card reader/writer for my PC
that I hope will rewrite the MBR to the CF card.
I tried it with my CF to IDE adapter but MS-DOS
won't recognize it as a hard drive so FDISK doesn't
want to rewrite the MBR. I have a CFFA with 256MB
CF card, on the 4 drive setting so I have 4 ProDOS
and one large HFS partition. I have one with a 128
MB CF card that has 8-bit software on it, which is
being sold. I also a 64MB CF card and 2 x 8 MB cards.
The CF to IDE adapter with a CF card in place will
also work on the Joachim Lange MicroDrive controllers.
I don't have any in stock, but you can purchase them
directly from Joachim, and don't ask me anything more,
I don't have any of the present price settings due to
the exchange rate changing every week now.
Anyway, I hope this clears up some things but I'm sure
all it will do is raise more questions. 8-)
