A thought...

It is getting darned near impossible to buy hard drives of any physical
size that are reasonable for use on n 8-bit Apple ][.  I mean, from a
practical point of view, with a 32Mb volume limit plus the ProDOS limits
on the number of volumes available, it's really not practical to go past
about 160Mb...

For that reason, for internal storage, wouldn't there be distinct
advantages to using flash memory instead?  Access would be as fast or
faster, but it would be non-volatile, non-mechanical, crash-resistant
storage, which takes up less space than even the smallest hard drives.

Just a thought...
