The chip wouldn't run any faster Bart - though I wouldn't mind seeing a 65c02 or a 65816 14mhz Transwarp for the //e..., and while you're at it, replace the Transwarp's 256K of RAM with at least a meg, heck, why not a full 16meg?

It might well be possible to speed up a Transwarp. The Transwarp is
really a computer inside a computer. On startup it copies the Apple IIs
ROM into it's RAM then uses it's own RAM instead of the motherboard
RAM. It also uses it's own RAM instead of the first 64k on an auxiliary
slot card. Since it's speed is determined by the 7M signal, if that
could be isolated and changed on the card then maybe it could run
faster.
