Thanks... most pragmatic design, come to think of it.  I keep reminding
myself that pre-IIgs colors *are* artifacts; the mixed-mode text does
look rather awful.

Kinda disappointing though; it was maybe the first setting I tweaked
after picking up a IIgs.  "Ah, colored text on II finally! ...erm,
perhaps not?  Is this thing broken?"
