  Geez, I did that back in '83.  I put a //e motherboard from a dealers spares
kit into a Wang Dual Casette box, and mounted a //e keyboard into an old Wang
keyboard case.  True, it did have the ribbon cable from the box to the
keyboard, but it was livable for my needs.  And I still have that //e.  It was
my first computer.

  But I have seen a true detachable keyboard for the //e, but I don't recall
who made it.  It even came with a blank plate to cover the hole in your //e
case.
