Semantic games.  Text is generated in black and white; the color carrier
is completely suppressed.  Two consecutive pixels of the same value at
73 ns duration each is indistinguishable from one pixel of that value with
146 ns duration.  The video signal is analog, and the monitor does not
interpret it as pixels.
