Not using any cvs.. I'm developing under Windows 2000 (actually,
Windows 2000 running in a (Connectix) Virtual PC. All I did was
download your ZIP source code from Source Force and downloaded J2SE
v1.4.2 from java.sun.com.

I wanted to play around with Linux, but was sort of turned off my
first try. I got Red-Hat Linux 8.0 installed on a virtual PC but when
I went to start up the development software (GCC?) it prompted me to
create indexes for all the help documentation. Well, I clicked "OK"
and it proceeded to spend the next 18 hours spitting out "+" signs and
brief spurts of non-progress-indicating text. After 18 hours I
decided to just pull the plug on the system and haven't tried again
since then.
