Exactly.. I have seen //c+ auctions that use the same picture -- looks
like it's a tennis court with red asphalt and a while paint line
behind the computer.  I forget exactly where, but this picture is on
one of the Apple II history info websites on the web.  When I saw an
auction for a "great condition" //c+ and I saw that picture, I knew it
wasn't of the actual unit.

Maybe eBay could make it so that when someone posts pictures for an
auction, they MUST specify whether the images being used are of the
actual item or merely a "similar item" and force a label below the
picture or something that says which it is.

But you're quite right -- it's annoying.. I just avoid the auction or
if it's really something I'm interested in, I'll e-mail the seller for
more information.
