Hello!
I have tried the DOS33Launcher utility which enables the user to load/run
8-bit floppies directly from GS/OS. The program copies the floppy to a
separate file which then can be loaded into memory by double clicking on the
file-icon in GS/OS.
I have only managed to get it working on a limited number of floppies. Many
disks, as for instance games like "Loderunner", will not work at all - and
ends in a system-crash.
After using this tool the system speed is also changed from "fast" to
"normal" in the control-panel, which must be reset manually.
The disks could of course be loaded the hard-way by entering control-panel
and manually change start-up slot from HD/slot #2 to slot #6 and also
changing system speed to 'normal'.
Are there other solutions or "boot-managers", that can be applied to load
8-bit floppies more efficiently from a GS/OS-system
Any advice appreciated!
