Apple II related Mac question

Ok, I finally got my PowerMac 7100 and my Apple IIgs
close enough together to connect them with the Phone-Net
cable. Here's my beef. I can see all 3 partitions of my Mac
hard drive on my IIgs, which is cool in itself, but I want to
see something from the IIgs on the Mac. Anyone have any
idea why I can't access the IIgs from the Mac but can access
the Mac from the IIgs?
Now the next thing is a Mac question but I relate it because
it's about accessing my site. What program, driver, extension,
codec, whatever do I need to hear WAVE files on my PowerMac
7100 running OS 8.1?
