I can easily believe that.

I have only had success when I was _actually there_ when an Apple II
came in for donation.  The person receiving the donation was doing
"triage" on the donations, and put it aside immediately for a trip to
the dumpster.  I asked if she wanted it, and she said, "No, help
yourself.", which I did.  ;-)
