Well, whether I'm right or wrong or he was doesn't matter to me.
If he wants to post his views, he should IMHO start a web site of
the history of the home computer and leave this forum to what it
is intended to do. Assist people with problems and suggestions
on getting their Apple II's running or running better. That type of
post just brings hard feelings across the many platforms, Apple
and IBM especially. Why harp on infomation that is readily available
if you only desire and if I wanted to know, I would have damned sight
gone and searched it out. Just like those who like to play their car
radios so loud you can feel the bass thumping from a block away.
If I want to hear that song, I'll surely go buy the record.
Being a newbie, I do stand corrected quite often, but I simply do not
appreciate my PC of choice being dragged down as inferior. It
plainly is not, and everyone knows it. These types of posts are a
futile attempt at keeping alive a basically hobby oriented computer
line that had it's good days and they WERE great days. Can't we
simply enjoy them while they are still a little popular? Can we
not band together and keep them going as what they are, not what
we'd like to think they are?
BTW, the more argument I receive, the more I respond.
This is my feeling in a nutshell. Use them, abuse them, that's
your choice, but give every brand the respect it should deserve.
