Re: SCSI CDROM - why eject or init when no media present?



Stephen, thanks for the reply.

The drives can read CD's okay ... the problem I am having is that if I don't
have a CD in the drive when I boot or a program exits and returns to the
desktop ..I get  prompted to Initiialize or eject the drive.

It gets a little tedious clicking on that dialog all the time.

I believe I have installed all the SCSI and CDROM drivers from the 6.01
system disks and I am using an APPLE HS SCSI adapter.

Do you experience that behaviour with your CDOM drive?
