My personal preference is the Platinum IIe.  The keyboard IS a bit
high, but I've never enjoyed the feel of another keyboard quite as
much; just the right amount of resistance and travel, plus it uses
real switches, unlike the crappy membrane keyboards available these
days.  (I use an IBM 1391401 KBD from 1990 to get around that.  Bugger
the Windows key!  I learned to hate it when it kept getting in the way
of me playing Doom, and haven't changed my feelings since.)

Ahem.  

Platinum IIe.  Very nice colour to it.  Nice quiet design.  Liked the
overall shape.  Numeric keypad was a very welcome addition.  Lots of
room under the hood, and the case could be opened with an unparalleled
ease.  A great case overall.
