Wow, long time ago.  But what I said was true.

In fact, I have a slotless sound card, part of the HyperStudio
package.  It plugs into J25 and connects to one of the
cutouts on the back without plugging into a slot.  It allows
input of analog audio for digitization.

Jamie was wrong.  MIDI is very well supported.  the MIDI
of the Audio Animator was non-standard.  The standard
MIDI boxes worked off the IIGS serial port and are
supported via a driver from Apple.  Through the driver, all
software supports MIDI, including Apple's own synthLAB.

Just find an old MIDI box for the earlier Macs.  Ask for
one for a Mac LC and it will work on the IIGS.  I know
because I have one.
