I remember a 6502 simulator running on Apple II that displayed
a block diagram of the processor with all its registers. While
"running" a real piece of machine code, the actual contents of
the registers are visible, and data "moves" along the buses as
a visible dot - slowly. This was great to get a picture of what's
happening inside the processor.
Unfortunately I now don't remember the name of the simulator, and
haven't been able to find any similar software.
Would be really glad if someone has pointers for me. Simulation
of other processors of similar complexity would be interesting
as well (with emphasis on _graphical_ display of control and
data flow).
