Wow, Roy--flame off, please!  ;-)

As you are demonstrably aware, replies to news posts get typed out
rather hastily, and sometimes all the deeper implications of the words
(both original and replied) are not fully appreciated either by readers
or writers.

Therefore, it is prudent to give folks a little slack in getting their point
across, don't you think?

Courtesy and "benefit of the doubt" should usually be extended to
posters we do not "know" from repeated posts to be off the mark.
And courtesy should certainly be offered to posters who have
contributed greatly to the Apple II universe, like Val Golding and
Andy McFadden.

Val's misunderstanding had little to do with your response, but
was based on confusing my incomplete characterization of MIT's
1960's Project MAC with the "Mac" computer.

I respect you, as well, and so must assume that you just "got out
of bed on the wrong side" this morning.  ;-)
