Re: (bootable) ProDOS floppies from Power Mac

Update:

I've tried a few combinations so far (actual I've done little else
today!!!). The results:

I've used DiskDup+ to create floppies from both original proDOS disks,
Disk Copy 4.2 images and B2TR-generated 4.2 images -- all work fine.
I'm using 720K IBM diskettes, which I was originally reformatting in
System 7.5's finder, but I found this is unnecessary as DiskDup will
automatically initialize the disk.

Then I tried to format and copy to a 1.44 MB diskette with DiskDup+,
but no go... I could view the files on the Mac, but they had generic
icons and the disk was not recognized by the GS other than I/O ERROR.
Luckily I have a local supply of DD diskettes at slightly lower than
eBay prices. :)

I've also found a little utility called ProTYPE which strips the res-
ource fork and corrects the file type for .SHK and .SDK and most other
A2 file formats... quite handy.

I think writing ProDOS disks is dependent on having the PC Exchange
extension installed -- not sure if this is standard issue or not.
