In all fairness, 1981 is when the first version of MS-DOS was out...and
WinMe still contains bits and pieces of DOS code. Microsoft isn't the only
company to do this, either...the companies that have owned DR DOS over the
years (Digital Research, Novell, Caldera, Lineo, and now a company called
DeviceLogics) have put on a copyright notice that starts out in 1976 (which
would've been when CP/M was first out).
