Because of the thousands of 68K apps out there, and not all have or ever will
be upgraded for PPC. As I recall the Mac still has a 68K emulator.
<< The emulator slows things down, there is plenty of newer software
that runs directly on the PowerMac, so why bother keeping the compatibility?
