virtually any old Mac with an Ethernet card AND and the appropriate
tranceivers AND the free download of LocalTalk Bridge software.

I use a Quadra 605 (about $20-$30 on e-bay) because it comes standard with
the network card, so all that is needed is a LocalTalk kit (about $5 on
e-bay) AND a network transceiver - AIU to BNC in my case (about $5-$10 on
e-bay)

note: prices quoted will vary a lot depending on your luck :-) you might for
example be able to get the lot for $5 on a good day.
