You bet!  Seeing it hang made me think of setting a OS 5.04 partition for ORCA.

I just tried again: it works :)  I've been able to compile and run sample

programs.

A file was missing in my system folder.  I'll try

again with GS/OS 6.

Um, yes indeed there's good old Applesoft but I meant a language which could

exploit the Toolbox in ROM, the synthetiser, the enhanced graphics, more 
 RAM, etc.  Ahhh the mini-assembler... one step above punching in hex 
codes with the monitor then BSAVE (I vaguely remember the parameters: 
<filename> <start_addr> <size> I think)... then came Apple Assembler 
then... I stopped coding in 6502 in favor of the 80386 the day the Apple 
//e died.
Now the fun is back with my GS.
