I and a friend were looking through some of our collective junk, and we
came accross two things that we're wondering if it's possible to combine
them into a useful item.
I have a broken external A&E 3.5" 800K drive, and he has a working
internal AppleDisk 800K drive from a Macintosh SE/30, but no computer
capable of housing it. Is it possible to put the internal drive in the A&E
case and make it a working external drive that we could with either his
old Performa 405 or my Apple IIGS?, or would it be too difficult for two
guys with little hardware expereince beyond installing cards, RAM chips, &
swapping drives from internal bays (I've done macs, he's done PCs, both
DOS & Windows era machines)?
Seems a shame to have these peices of hardware laying around useless when
we could put them to work.
