Not so much a program - but try this if you have a SCSI card.
Get a fairly recent SCSI drive (less than 5 years old). Format and partition
it.
The drive is normally faster than the GS leaving you with the rather odd
situation of the hard disk waiting for the computer to catch up! A Barracuda
slays a GS plenty quick.
