I have an Apple IIGS computer (ROM version 01 - I believe) with two 3.5"
disk drives, a single 'Apple 5.25" disk' drive and SCSI Hard Drive with
System 6.0 installed.
The computer seems unable to recognise Dos 3.3, whenever inserted into
the 5.25" disk drive. When System 6.0 is loaded from the Hard Drive, it
keeps wanting to reformat the disk to ProDOS or similar format. While
restarting the computer and attempting to bootup, with PR#6, it gives
read/write errors as if the disk is corrupt. I have connected the disk
drive to my Apple IIe and booted up with the same disk without any
problems. What's wrong? Is it set for Fast mode, rather than Slow? How
do I switch between them?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jeff.
