A lot of folks have problems with the 800KB disks that some PowerMacs
write.  The newer (non-superdisk) 3.5" drives are not variable-speed like the
older drives, and they seem to push the disk recording tolerances to the
breaking point.

You could try again (but you probably already have), or you could find
an older Mac.  Writing the 800KB disk images on a variable-speed 3.5"
drive will make all the difference.
