Re: ADT Question
The IIgs serial port (easily understood diagram) can be found
specifically under section 9 for the pin out FAQ.

My best suggestion for you is to take a modem cable from each machine
and hook the ends together with a null modem plug from Radio Shack.
Save yourself some headache.
Ok, I looked it up on www.RadioShack.com and I do not see null modem
plugs, so use a cable instead. Order these two cables, plug them in end
to end and then into your computers for serial communications using ADT
or modem software to transfer files. :)
PC Null modem cable #950-0189 (9F to 25F, $6) or
#950-0183 (25F to 25F, $6)
Mac(IIgs) modem cable #950-0109 (Mac to 25M, $7)
I am not familiar with the other cable that uses the game port and
parallel port on a PC, but I can tell you that the joystick port and the
game port inside are the same electrically for the most part. Apple II
pin outs can be found here.

are physically on the connector...
...so I tried ap2222pc and Apple II oasis, a utility to use the game
port to transfer data, but the schematics are confusing. Do I connect
the 25 pin cable to the internal game port connector (see other post
with just the pic attached), or the external 9 pin one? Looking at the
docs for Apple II disk
server (part of apple II oasis) and the ap2222pc docs (lineconn.doc),
since they both show a chip socket type connector such as the one on my
IIgs mobo, I'm assuming that's where I connect it to, but I'm not sure.
Please help, I just want to make sure that I'm not gonna fry my GS...
