Re: Image Transfer

First, thanks to all who responded to my IIgs/Newbie post. After high
school, I abandoned the Apple in 1988 and moved forward with the PC
rather than using the Mac, so admittedly "resource fork" & "data fork"
are very near Chinese to me (I'm assuming they come to play in the Mac
world, or at least they did at one time).

With that in mind, I have a couple of questions if someone is so
inclined to help out a self confessed IIgs moron.

How could one transfer either .2mg images or .shk/.sdk files from a PC
to the IIgs? If I had access to a Mac with OS X, would I be able to
write to a ProDos disk?

Null modem party time! You can transfer anything via a null modem setup with decent communications programs on either side. In fact, there was just a post on this setup recently. The page it references kicks butt, at http://www.syndicomm.com/~gsaug/null/nullmodem.htm.

Finally, are there any online resources for System 6.0.1? FAQ, online
manuals, anything?

Not that I know of...it sounds like a good project though! I believe the Byte Works sells the reference manuals and if they don't, then Syndicomm does.
