A mysterious 'Disk Full' error can result when you try to place
too many files in the root directory of a ProDOS volume. The max number
of files and folders you can stick in the main directory is 51, a lot
smaller than the number you can place in a folder.
If you tried to put more than 51 files in the SEA and the it was
located in the root directory of a volume, perhaps that would trigger
a "Disk Full" or "Directory Full" error.
*Nods* I found out the hard way about this too!
Another reason GSHK might snag in creating an SEA could be corrupted
files.
Roger on the last one. Turns out that my version of GSHK was fubarred. I downloaded a new one, un-BXYed it and it creates SEAs just fine. Thanks!
