Re: Any more "Newbies" out there???

At seven or eight years, I still feel like a newbie in this group. I touched
my first Apple II around 1985-6 when I was doing my student teaching. My
assignments were to analyze apple II software (I still remember that I reviewed
"Mammoth Meltdown"--anyone have a copy?) and to create a LOGO project, because
this is what we would be teaching our students to do in the classroom.
Like most teachers, I had very limited access to computers for years--perhaps
30 minutes once every week or two in the school's computer lab. Yes, I taught
them LOGO.
It wasn't until eight years ago when I started at my current school that I
actually had a computer in my classroom. It was an abandoned Apple ][e that
nobody wanted.
The rest is history.
