I don't get this obsession with low-capacity CF cards. You can buy a 4
GB microSD card (which could be put in a CF card adapter, were you so
inclined) for $5 shipped on dealnews right now.
And to put that in perspective, the first box of floppy disks I bought, in
the summer of 1984, I paid fifty dollars for a box of Elephant brand
floppies here in Canada.
Five dollars is about the place where I decide something is loseable.
Somewhere around there, I won't fuss over the money, somewhat above that I
will think twice.
If the cards were still expensive, then I would fuss. But since they can
be had cheap, and more than enough capacity, I wouldn't fuss over the
space that can't be used.
Gee, I used to buy 60 minute cassettes, they were cheapest, and cut them
down to size, keeping one or a few programs on each, since it was easier
to find the program I wanted. I didn't have much money, but I didn't
fuss over throwing away most of the capacity of the cassette.
