That is the standard Apple II way drives go. 5.25 drives in slot 6 are drive 1 and drive 2. 3.5 or Zip drives in slot 5 are drive 1 and drive 2. Were you expecting them to be separate slots also even though they are plugged into the SCSI card in slot 5.
