   LemminGS has a built-in protection to prevent anyone to modify the
code (checksum stuff...). At the time, the idea was to prevent
WhoYouKnow to change the text of the Scrolling that appears on Menu
screen.

   So if you want to make some modifications, make sure you remove the
protection first ! (easier with the source code !)

   If you are a newbies in 65816 assembly language, that won't be
easy. You should perhaps start to 'play' with another software...
