The problem I see with private museums is that, like websites, they tend to
last only as long as their owners (or their owners' interest). 

I, too, have a large collection of Apple II and electronic artifacts, some
common, some very rare. Almost all of these items are not appreciated by
more than a few people (yes, you!), and I don't have a long time to "place"
the many items. The likely result is that much of my collection (pile?) is
destined for--what?--the dumpster?

I hope that it doesn't come to this, but my "museum", like many, seems
likely to vanish...
