Re: Older Powerbook capable of writing 800K IIgs compatible floppies?

My PB arrived a couple days ago, though I'm still waiting on the floppy module which was coming from another source. Computer works great, was able to install Bernie II the Rescue and load up images from the Asimov FTP site.

A couple of questions on your set up.

1. What version of MacOS are you using?
2. Did you try and make the ProDOS disks in MacOS or through an emulator on the PB such as Bernie to the Rescue?
3. Did you try formatting a 3.5" disk on a IIgs and see if the PB would read it?
4. Were you actually using 800K floppies or just trying to make 1.44MB floppies work? It will only work with true 800K(720K in the PC world) 3.5" floppies. It will NOT work with 1.44MB floppies.
