I had a Power Mac 7300 that I used with Bernie II the Rescue to write Apple IIgs floppies. The internal drive on that Power Mac worked fine to write 800K floppies. I have a dozen boxes of old 800K blank floppies to use.
Anyway, the 7300 died on me, so instead of trying to find another bulky desktop computer I thought I'd look for something that takes up less space, thus I was looking at Powerbooks.
I'm thinking of getting hold of a Wallstreet G3 Powerbook, but I'd like to know if the 3.5" drive module for that computer will write good 800K disks for use with a real IIgs? Or do I need to look at something older like a Powerbook 1400, 3400 or 5300?
