Days and nights passed...

I was able to test last evening, but of course it didn't work! IIgs talking
to iBook G4 with 10.5.8 and ADTPro 1.2.4. I didn't change any settings; and
tcpdump showed that the UDP packets from the IIgs were coming through, just
the IIgs was too dopey to do anything with them. This is the same setup that
I had working a week ago after 1.2.4 came out, and I used it to make a
backup of a FocusDrive partition.

I got the catalog to show up once (no garbled file names, alas) out of
perhaps 30-40 tries, and that was just lucky timing, since it never showed
up any other time before or since.

So... testing.... failure!

I will get back to you ASAP.
