Use freeze spray and find which components are overheating....I agree to a point, its much easier to diagnose a broken card that works sometimes than it is to design one from scratch start a new thread we will help you work though it, might be just some rotten caps, or a fractured solder joint from decades of use
I have two card. The first one do not work when I first turn on the IIgs. I need to turn on/turn off/turn on rapidely (but not too much) to get it working. It's working for 1/2 hour. The second one boot fine, but, as the first, will hang after 1/2 hour.
This happen in two IIgs. I know that the cache card become very hot after some minutes. I may try to find a little fan. I have no skill to determine what's bad on these card.
