More Asimov Additions - second game wave 8.27.12

But wait - there's more. :)

]HR

Now placed in the /incoming directory on Asimov:

BIZARRE_ADVENTURE.dsk - a 'homegrown' adventure written by The Peddler as 'an original Sector Patrol ware'.

GENESIS_ADVENTURE_CREATOR.dsk - from Hexcraft, Inc., written by Salem Pritchett. Not sure if this was commercially published or not.

GIANT_WORLD_S1.dsk - There are nibble images on Asimov; here are cracked ones.
GIANT_WORLD_S2.dsk

HULK(beta)_S1.dsk - this is a beta version of Scott Adams' Incredible Hulk game. As was sometimes the case 'back in the day', beta copies of games were leaked. Here's an example (it's unfinished in a few places).
HULK(beta)_S2.dsk

J-ADVENTURE.dsk - this one is a bit of a mystery. It's done in Pascal, and seems like it was a commercial effort, but there's no title page, crack screen, or anything. Scanning through the disk finds references to JGroup, and it starts out with you waking up from 'hybersleep' before docking with 'jPort'; my old handwritten disk label has it as 'J-Adventure', but I don't know if that's correct or not. I couldn't find any info on this. Maybe someone can shed some light on it?

JENNY_OF_THE_PRAIRIE_hr.dsk - adventure/RPG-type game targeted for girls, from Rhiannon, 1983. It's an old crack I did, but 'unmarked' as such. :)

KING_TUTS_REVENGE.dsk - maybe self-published by Albert Lesiak, sort of a combo adventure/arcade game.

KIWI_f.dsk - Krill's Infocom Word Interpretor. I wasn't able to find this on Asimov; surely it's out there somewhere? Interesting tool to explore Infocom text adventures. I placed the docs and the program on the same disk image for convenience. Here's what I had to say about it 26(!) years ago in a file I put out about secret keys:

"Infocom - Well, I thought I would mention this one. There is a secret subsystem in the later Infocom stuff. The commands are preceeded by a $, such as $ve, and $de. Those do a disk verify and debug respectively. They vary from game to game and release to release. There also is another set that begin with #, but I haven't figured them out. If any of you have a program called KIWI (Krell's Infocom Word Interpreter), it will print all the words out, including these commands. Then you can play with them. Some other things they do are to stop time, give you certain objects, take you to locations, etc. On some of the games, typing ZORK gets a humorous response. Oh well, just play around with them. And get KIWI."

MASQUERADE_BOOT(vol0fix)_hr.dsk - I noted on Asimov some mention of restoring the title screen and such, and the copy that's up there still has some mods on the screen. This is a 'clean' crack with the full title screen.
MASQUERADE_PLAY_hr.dsk

OO-TOPOS(OLD).dsk - this is the original version from Sentient Software (before Penguin remade it).

PIRATES_SOFT_SEAS(Wizware - need FossilsAlive)_S1.dsk - I only had one side of this Wizware adventure game, but you can get it to run by downloading and using one of their other titles ('Double Feature' is on Asimov and will work). The missing side is called Fossils Alive.

SANDS_OF_MARS_S1.dsk - looked like Asimov had only one side of this, but there should be two for this 1981 game from John and Patty Bell and Crystal Software.
SANDS_OF_MARS_S2.dsk

WARRIORS_REALM.dsk - some type of adventure/RPG game from Gerhardt Software. Not sure if this was commercially published or not (has a bit of a homemade feel to it).
