Ah yes, I suppose some explanation of the 'unique' controls for this game would be helpful, since they are weird.

When the two dudes appear, this is the game mode selection screen. One is conrolled by paddle 0 and the other is controlled by paddle 1.

Moving the paddle rotates the arrow for that guy.

Tapping the button fires an arrow (button 0 for one guy, button 1 for the other).

Holding down the button moves that guy in the direction of the arrow.

Now, to select the game mode, you hold down the button and move the guy a bit to change the mode. You can move either guy to select one player mode or two player competition. Once you have the mode selected, space bar starts the game.

When playing the game, you fire arrows by tapping the button, and move the guy in the direction of the pointer by holding the button down. Since the paddle controls the rotation of the pointer, you can kind of 'drive' the guy around by holding down the button and rotating the paddle, then stop to shoot. You can't shoot while moving.

It takes some getting used to... :)

But hey, you could have two-player, multi-direction movement without a joystick and just using the two paddles. Once you get the hang of it, it's not so bad actually.

(I found that in AppleWin at least, using the mouse as the joystick provided the best control.)
