Re: The 6809 board

A friend of mine who likes old computers came over and we played with the OS9 on my new board. Everything we tried for a couple of hours worked fine, including assembling an example file using ASM command from the disk made from the image "microwarea.dsk" made available by Antoine. The board appears to be a lot more stable than one could fear knowing about the imperfections of the DMA timing for the Apple 2e explained on my web page.

Interestingly the command "TMODE TYPE=3" did switch to 80 col mode. I didn't expect it to work at all as the manual only claims support for Videx. One little issue with the 80 col mode: the cursor disappeared and "OS9:" prompt became "O`9:". Probably could be corrected with a software patch?

I declare the board operational :) Will ship soon as I get CPUs.
