Hi Guys,
In a recent thread of mine I spoke about having had issues in repairing
my recently acquired Vulcan GS power supply. Well, I spent ages trying
to fix it and in the end threw in the towel. Instead of fixing it, I
replaced it with a better one!
I have also found a great replacement power supply to be used for any
Apple II, as it is very small and is a quad output supply (no need for
any voltage regulators). And at present, its very inexpensive - US$13.50
each from Jameco. The supply in question is the EOS "Red Rocket"
MVLT80-4000. It's an 80W quad output supply and approved for medical
usage (I assume this means the output is better regulated?).
You can find further details of how I installed this inside the Vulcan
GS on my web site:

BTW: I've restructured my web site, so anyone with direct links will
need to update their links. :-)
Anyway, I hope this find is of benefit to others. I think this supply is
a perfect replacement power supply going forward. I bought 2, one for a
backup. :-)

Mike
