I have the original of Ultima I and it works just fine. Been playing a while and am interested in copying my player disk into virtual land, but so far I'm having no luck. :-(
First and foremost, the Dark Logic cracked version tends to freeze up a lot at the title screen though I did get it to go the game start screen once. However, when I insert my NIB-based player disk it just sits there. When Dark Logic cracked the RWTS of the game did this affect the way which player disks are saved as well?
Secondly, I tried to do a NIB copy of Ultima I but that was a no-go. Were there any other cracked copies of the 1986 re-release of Ultima I aside from the Dark Logic one? For a change I can say I own a legitimate copy and just want to play the darn thing. :-D
Bummed that my originals of Airheart, Tass Times and Test Drive are borked though. Oh well, at least I have Leisure Suit Larry...
Thanks!
