Thanks Michael.  Since posting my earlier reply, I have been checking out MDC (and a bunch of other much older utilities (like dsk_cat, etc).

MDC works fine if I select a single disk image.  However, if I select 2 or more disk images or select a directory containing disk images, I get only this:

If I could get MDC to work for a directory and all sub-directories, then that would be great.  :)
