Yesterday, I turned on an Apple /// for the first time. Nothing
showed up on the Monitor ///, which did have its red "power" light
on. The /// "on" light was on, and the built-in disk drive briefly
whirred before going quiet. I turned the machine off and waited
several seconds. I then turned the machine back on again. This time,
and on subsequent attempts, there was no disk drive noise. Instead,
the "on" light went on but nothing showed up on the screen and it just
sat there very quietly.
Thoughts? Is it dead? Can it be resurrected?
