Not only that but I totally lack the true hacker spirit. Since that 
image was sent I
1. slept twice
2. took the kids to the Pacific Ocean
3. watched the tennis finals
4. attended a barbeque party at the neighbors' house

And only now got around to testing the file. The result is negative - 
when I boot from that disk the computer hangs. So does the emulator.
No error messages. No attempt to even switch the 6809 card ON.

Furthermore I don't see and accesses to the slot 4 at all, so it's hard 
to blame the card.
