Those are awesome specs for such a small package. The use of 5V power makes it more portable since plenty of USB/5V adapters and converters abound. That seems to be the trend (as I've noticed with the Arduino boards). Not sure if 1000mA is enough for more complex projects though.
One of my wants for these tiny boards has been to incorporate RTCs (sadly, the Raspberry Pi's also don't have them). Running general Linux on a device without an RTC often needs a network connection to get the current date/time during the boot process.
Does anyone know of a small RTC USB device with an appropriate Linux driver to get/set the time from it? Most of the ones I've found are expensive because their main function is for security (hardware keys). There's talk in the Raspberry forums about using a GPS dongle to get the date/time -- but I just want a simple RTC.
There's this project for the Arduino: http://www.ladyada.net/learn/breakoutplus/ds1307rtc.html
but I was hoping I could just buy one from somewhere.
