Re: TKC Numeric Keypad

I recently acquired a numeric keypad make by TKC (The Keyboard Company).
It's identical to the one listed here, only without the controller card:

I'm trying to determine if it's possible to connect this to the numeric
keypad port in my Enhanced Apple IIe. I've disassembled the keypad and it
appears as if it requires +5v power, unlike the standard IIe keypad. Other
than that, I've been unable to easily determine how it works.
Is anyone familiar with this device? Does anyone have a pinout? Is it
possible to connect it to an Apple IIe?
Since it connects to its own daughterboard that plugs onto the
Apple ][+ encoder board, it's keyboard connector doesn't match
anything but it's own board.
If you open it up, you may be able to see what signals go where.
Come to think of it, since (I presume) that it plugs onto the ][+
keyboard-encoder connector, it may actually just emulate the
corresponding keys of the physical ][+ keyboard, letting the
][+ encoder do the conversion to ASCII...
