The Apple II is definitely a hobbiest's computer. And there are far
fewer hobbiests than gamers.
But I believe we hobbiests get much more gratification out of our
computers than a gamer will with his.

As the saying goes, "Quality over Quantity"

And since most games ARE cross platform, one could join another forum
just to talk about a particular game.
Just don't let them know that you are playing that game on an Apple
II.

Then again, maybe we should all join other forums and drop hints that
those games could be played on the Apple II as well. And maybe we
could let them know that an Apple II can do so much more than play
games. And maybe we could drop a link to our forum. And maybe ....
wait a minute. How big or how popular do we want to get?

This is what I think sets this community apart from the others, IS
that we don't talk so much about games but about what our computers
can do in comparison with the new modern age of electronics.

Then, and only then, if I get bored, will I revert to talking about
games. :)

(hey guys, guess what, I made 3,321,486,978,421 on PONG last week.
I played for a week straight)
